About NULU
The Term "NULU" is a portmanteau meaning "New Louisville"
As home to the greenest commercial building in Kentucky, many historic restoration projects, as well as several restaurants offering organic and locally sourced ingredients, NULU has emerged with a culture of sustainability and a “New” way of thinking about working and living in a historic urban neighborhood.
NULU is best known for its art galleries, specialty stores, distilleries, antique shops, popular restaurants and a growing number of technology industry start-ups. The area has also become a highly sought out neighborhood for new residents.
We hope your plans include a visit to NULU.
History of NULU During the early part of the 19th century Market Street was the common address for retailers and service industries supporting Louisville’s development as a center for regional commerce. The thoroughfare was the heart of the development of the city as a livestock market with herds of livestock in constant travel along Market between the Bourbon Stockyards and the river. |
